SUBJECT: "Basic Rules for all PFRW Board Members" 1. All Council appointments to State Council positions must be cleared by the Director(s) in charge of the appointee's County. 2. Any woman or group of women wishing to organize a new Council must contact the State Director(s) of the County involved. 3. Neither the Pennsylvania Federation of Republican Women, nor its President, nor any members of the Board of Directors shall endorse candidates for nomination at Primary Elections in the name of the organization. As individuals, one may support and work for the Registered Republican Candidate of her choice. 4. Standing Committee Chairmen are members of the PA Federation of Republican Women’s Board ex-officio (without a vote) except those who are elected Directors. 5. PFRW Board Members shall inform the Councils under their jurisdiction that their primary financial support is owed to the State and Local Councils. It is the duty of each Board Member to encourage Local Councils to pledge, and to sponsor attendance at regional and State meetings, before political contributions are made. 6. No public expression in the name of the Pennsylvania Federation of Republican Women shall come from an individual or any organization unless it has passed a majority vote at a meeting of the Board of Directors or at the Annual Convention. 7. Any elected Officer or Director may be removed from office by the Board of the Pennsylvania Federation of Republican Women for the following reasons: a. Failure to be a bona fide dues-paying member of a local PFRW affiliate. b. Failure to support the Party Ticket. c. Working against the objectives of the PFRW or the NFRW as stated in their respective bylaws. (Adopted at the 1978 Convention)
